and that this is damaging to our culture.
We believe that the CD is obsolete. We like the CD. We will continue
to make it available for purchase for dinosaurs. Like us.
We acknowledge that the internet has vastly changed the way business
is transacted in all aspects of life--not just entertainment. This
makes us smile.
We haven't watched the Grammy's in years.
We feel that it is more important for you to hear our music than
it is for us to get paid for you listening to it.
We think blaming anyone for the state of the music business is
unimportant. MTV, the labels, Napster, consumers... no one is
completely to blame, nor are they completely innocent. The business
of music is in turmoil. This is equal parts vexing and exciting.
We do not know where it is going, but we intend to be there when
the dust settles and the future arrives.
